This super semi-detached cottage is located to the rear of the owner’s house, in the Cotswold Village of Marshfield, imaginatively created from a stable and loft to provide high quality accommodation, whilst retaining touches of the original character.

The cottage is peaceful and quiet and holiday makers can relax in the owner’s lovely half acre garden, summerhouse and paddock. The garden is open one weekend a year under the NGS garden scheme and is in the yellow book of gardens.

Marshfield makes a good base to explore the southern Cotswold Hills, the Beautiful city of Bath, with its Roman Baths and sweeping regency terraces, is just 8 miles away, Bristol with the SS Great Britain is 11 miles, and you have the chocolate Box Village of Castle Combed just 5 miles.

There are numerous National Trust Property’s in the area, Doddington, Lacock, Stonehenge, Avebury, to name a few.

Near at hand is the Cheddar Gorge and Caves, and just 25miles away over the Severn Bridge you can explore Wales. This is a wonderful central base.
There are Shops, Pubs, and a tearoom in the village; all the pubs do meals with one, The Lord Nelson having a restaurant, all not more than a 5 minutes walk away.
